Ever since the Facebook released Timeline Cover, many people use it as a platform to expressed their creativity. Some of them even manage to make some mind blowing Facebook cover. This is also why I decided to make a new template myself.

You can download the Facebook cover template here for free, the template is in PSD format, which you can open it with Photoshop. Feel free to use it for personal and commercial project.

If you notice, this template uses the latest graph search. Graph search is a new version of the familiar Facebook header. It still in beta for now, but I believe it will implement soon. You can try the latest graph search beta here.

Back to the topic, another magic of this template is the use of Photoshop smart object. This time there will be no more less cropping and editing. Exporting the final image will be as easy as pie.

About smart objects

Smart objects means you can export the cover photo and profile picture easily, even if you have one big photo that you wish to use it in both profile and cover canvas. The template automatically update itself when you do the editing in the smart object.

On a side note, the download contain two files, one for the personal timeline cover and the other is the Facebook page cover template. I have to separate it since there is a slight difference between two type of timeline cover.

How to use it?

First, download and extract the template. Open the relevant PSD file in Photoshop. Double click the smart object icon to open another PSB document. Click Ok if a warning pops up. You can do all the editing in that canvas. Exporting image will also done in that PSB document too. The same process apply to both profile and cover picture.

Since this is the first template I created, it might not as perfect as it sounds. Comment below if you have any suggestions or questions.
